Nothing Is As It Seems

This feeling inside me,
It keeps growing and growing.
It becomes harder to ignore
With each passing day.

You told me you loved me,
And that I meant the world to you.
I believed every word.

I can see now,
It was all just a lie.
You used me.
My self esteem was beat.

You didn't just break my heart,
But you shattered it into a million pieces.
And I'm left to stitch my heart up,
While you move on to your next prey.

I just hope that she realizes the truth before she falls too.
