May the Bird of Paradise
Fly up your nose.
A beautiful spring flower
Song sung long ago.
The Baby’s Breath is cozy
In vases beside Posies.
Azaleas and Rhododendron
Grace our world like Rose of Sharon.
Don’t step on Birds of Paradise
With your bare toes.
They can be slippery
Just like ice and snow.
The Casablanca Lily
Thinks the Button Pom is silly.
And the Daffodil with Carnation,
Have the Bellflower as relation.
You will think it hocus pocus
When you see the blooming Crocus.
Chrysanthemum, no, Clematis,
Only rhymes with Green Tomatoes.
Hollyhocks and Honeysuckle
Lilacs with Moon Flower Buckles
Bring fragrant perfume essence
Like Morning Glory on the fences.
There are Lily-Of-The-Valley weddings,
Using Lilacs for honeymoon bedding.
Marigold’s may be so pretty
But the peppery smell is gritty.
Aren’t you glad I didn’t say
Bird Of Paradise here once more?
I’d be a Pansy Passion Flower Peony.
Instead I’m a Poppy Petunia Tulip see!
