The only girl for me

I open my eyes in the middle of the evening,
woken up by the sound of my girlfriend leaving.
Says she’s going for good, I’m all out of luck,
Quite frankly darling, I couldn't give a *****!
Run back to the country you silly hick,
my only predicament, who’s gonna **** my ****?

My new girlfriend you see can’t do that for me,
But making me happy, she does exceptionally.
So hurry up, pack your bags, get out of my sight,
do me one last favour though, pass my light?

Whilst you’ve been smashing my things, and causing a scene,
I’ve been packing my bowl, cause I wanna get lean.
So hurry it up, get out my flat, oh and don’t forget that you owe me rent.
I have a date with my women, incredible looks, and a delicate scent.
Mary Jane is her name.
She’s the only thing thats keeping me sane.

Her delicately flavored silky smoke,
fills my lungs ‘till i start to choke.
Eye lids get heavy, whites turn red,
and one more time it has to be said,

It boggles my mind that she comes from the ground,
what confuses me more, I’d go to jail for a pound!

Why is something so peaceful, relaxing and gentle,
being kept away, by a government thats mental?

You can invade a country to get at their oil,
but at the end of my long day of toil,
Its illegal for me to hit my bong?

I think its you thats in the wrong...

“Legalize marijuana”, thats what we will push,
then we can all sit back, and enjoy some kush.

written in about half an hour, whilst supposed to be working on my dissertation! never even written a poem before, let alone submit one online, so would really appreciate some feedback. this started out as a rap, but turned into a poem! hope you enjoy it
