Man I don't know
Maybe he's not lying
And if so
Why am I still trying
To be optimistic
See the bright side
In a place I know damn well
The sun does not shine
Have I been playing myself all this time
Convincing myself with falsifications
All along I had a weak mind
While Adversity just fed off me in anticipation
As if he knew I would eventually break
That within me I wouldn't store faith
I'd just complicate
The process of restoring vitality
With self-misdirection of my own mentality
And create my own illusion of reality
He knows no matter what
Everyone has their happy and sad phase
And no matter how much I suppress it
I'll eventually have my sad days
All he wants to do is guarantee that outweighs
By overshadowing me with the darkness of my past days
So my present is no gift
Cuz I'm too wrapped up in my bad days...
Sad to say that he's actually winning
But hope he doesn't think it's over
Because it actually isn't
Once I mentally find myself
He can't emotionally hurt me
I just gotta cleanse my mind
And rid all this Uncertainty

| A beautiful way to describe how we all sometimes have days where we are clouded and uncertain. But the clouds will pass and we will once again feel the sunlight. Gorgeous poem :) |
