When I was a teen
the cool kids tried
to get me to come to their parties,
And get high on pot and speed.
But I would always
turn them down
And walk away from them
Shaking my head with a frown.
For I was a loner and
wanted to do what's right.
To be an example
sometimes I'd have to fight.
But being a loner
has it's own rewards.
I learned how to fight
and didn't mince words.
Before you know it
kids stood by my side.
And the group got bigger
almost every night.
For other kids want
to do what's right.
But they want to belong more
than get into fights.
So stay away from trouble
both day and night.
And many other kids
will want to be
Just like you.

I love the photo! I also love this poem and the message. It is hard to be the loner and not cave under the pressure of your peers. I feel for the kids nowdays its even worse! I wouldnt want to go back for a do over hard stuff the teenage years. I am so happy you stood your ground. It is a war I know!
Hugs
