Today Is The Day

Contributed by MorbidAngel on Tuesday, 6th May 2003 @ 06:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I answer the phone
And freeze on the line
Hoping its the wrong number
Couldnt possibly be mine

I hang up the reciever
As tears begin to fall from my eyes
The hospital just informed me
That today my love has died

He was in a fatal accident
Head-on-collision to be correct
They say he didnt feel a thing
Just a clean break to the neck

The others werent so lucky
One is critical - the other paralyzed
The little girl is in a coma
And might not make it through the night

The cause for such a horreandous deal
Is still yet to be known
My only reason for living is now gone
Once again Im left alone

As I raise the gun up to head
Leaving a note only says 'goodbye'
Know in your hearts everyone
Today is when my love and I died.

you better not, my heart and nerves cannot take this poem, i am going to look for you to pm me or post another one, i am sorry for your loss but that's not an answer, i was in your place too, same feelings and desparation, life goes on, with every sorrow will be a tomorrow that has a joy, and also it's a very romantic thought to die on the day your love did, but you will miss out on the one you have not yet met, and dear he is there, big huggs, and big love, and i am here, nessa

You have loved and lost a major part of your heart, which is painful and sad, and my heart goes out to you.
But to join your love in death! is that what he would really want?
"Keep his memory alive by staying alive"

Such a sad poem. I am sorry for your loss but in you taking your own life you give his less meaning as you must have been a wonderful part of it.
