I Am Your Mutt....

04:11:2011....

The Mutt is probably the most loyal creature.
Intelligence is not its most prominent feature.
Thinks with its heart and not its head.
When the other way round it should be instead.
It has no use for the logical.
Its feelings are biological.
It’s in its jeans and I don't mean Levi’s.
It has no questions not any whys.
Look at its eyes.
You'll see no despise.
Look at its face.
In every gaze its loyalty you can trace.
Even when you put it down.
Yes and sometimes kick it around.
In loving you It sees no disgrace.
It would always run back to you at an alarming pace.
It's happy in receiving your scraps.
Even though there's no place for it on your love maps.
It will defend you with its life.
Even if the perp has a knife.
So remember this the next time you toss me a scrap.
One day I will be your map.
You will look to me for everything you need.
And I will deliver with immense speed.
For I am your mutt.
Hell I'll even be your slut.

well, i certainly would never kick a dog, i'm thinking
you meant yourself and you wouldn't hurt them either,
anyway, other than that i loved the poem, it is creative
and clever, thoughtful, and funny in parts,
