We tried to cheat without grasping tenor,
skipped the foundation, to our home we entered.
The walls buckled and structure collapsed,
Seemed like eternity, few moments elapsed.
Finding composure in a sincere, "I'm sorry",
changed the ending and prolonged our story.
Forgive and forget, lets start anew,
Back to basics to avoid adieu.

Sometimes going back to the basics is the best place to start. It is the simple that makes life great:) Wonderful write, I enjoyed the positive.

No, never did that bud sadly I do know that love is sometimes not enough.
Nice to write about it, though. Poetry = good therapy. Nicely written.
