There comes God

Contributed by ravi on Monday, 5th May 2003 @ 10:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I saw a barren desert of lost hopes, untold,
where the wind cries and moon shines cold,
the stars smile only to jeer and mock,
at a man made God made of gravel and rock,
where death walks it's chilly steps day after day,
and devil rules with terror all the way,
where people are all defeated and damned,
and the paths are closed and doors are slammed.

A stranger comes by an unseen way,
with silent steps on a golden day,
the face gentle; his hands wielding a golden rod,
the winds whispered loud ; there comes God.

Kalika ,this is not a actual desert. This is a desert of lost hopes and filled with utter desolation. You feel that you are in such a desert when your hopes are crashed and your mind is filled with disillusion

Content completely aside I enjoyed the imagery. I thought it was well crafted and had a good flow.
