Heart In Prayer

Sitting under a tree
The plants have stopped looking green to me
Unable to smell the scent of flowers
Chirping of birds are faint
I love the darkness
But I hate sadness
I am loneliness
Look inside, emptiness
Bring me happiness
But don't take away the blackness
Walking in the woods
All by myself
Wishing to grip her hand, whoever she is
Holding her tightly, kissing her lightly
I love you, my heart burns.

it is quite rare that a poem translates so well into English as this one, it is light yet thoughtful, inciteful and fresh. |
