goodbyepoetry
|
from the other end of england i came to say hello,
but only your body was at home to greet me.
your mind, like mine, was treading other paths.
you said you wanted to be like me,
coming
and going;
going with no chains or claims or bindings.
i said
"The freedom of the road
is just another prison
made of miles"
