You Ask For Words
You ask for words
To live upon the page
Where they can play to beauty
And learn the loveliness of you.
But with your world they waltz
In imperfect time,
For your heart is not their home.
They desire only
To dance behind my eyes.
Until again they sing
in my heart of hearts,
Until once more they dream
of the essences
of life
