Reasons

I have seen the bark
Torn by their rut
And touched the moss
Their instincts lost

I have seen a brain
Lying beside a note
That spoke of love
And more of fear

It lies between
The rifle and the deer

A poignant poem about the terrible pain of suicide and the terrible loss left behind. You use a few words to make a powerful point. The series of questions reflect the helplessness of those left behind.
