Looking up in a dark sky
looking at the only star I see
wondering are you thinking of me
where can we be
not wanting to seem …
so lost in what I want to be
I truly want to be
what might be true
or is this a fantasy
lost in my memory
am I selfish to want you . . .
only for me
is this what I’ve been told
can it truly be
this new feeling in me
so new and scared of me
I feel it deep inside of me
it most frightening off all
I have no control
I fear for you all
will it last
can it last
is it meant to last
I fear for all but me
