They both start off with a sheet of white,
One using a pencil, the other a brush,
One using colour, the other words,
To obtain a picture in image and verse.
The greens, the blues, the reds, the lights,
They are all present in black on white.
The sun shining from behind a cloud,
A cat chasing its tail around,
A ship sailing into the night,
Everything possible, both mediums right.
With every brush stroke, with every line,
Creating an artwork, for one's delight.

Excellent, simple and very fine expression of aesthetics. Art and Poetry
are forever entwined, both deal with essences and the abilities of men and women to express the universality of those essences.

i love this. so true..words can paint a picture so vibrant and colorful. and a brush can stroke just right on the canvas it is working with. so much so that a picture can speak a thousand words. |
