Here you are, hardly a year old.
It still feels likes you were born yesterday.
That day is so clear in my mind.
I remember pushing you out
into the world and as soon
as I heard you cry I said, "I did it!"
When I held you in my arms
I wanted to cry but I could not.
I was so happy that you were here
that all i could do was smile.
The day you were born I made a promise to myself.
It was to love, care, teach and be there for you.
To this day I kept my promise
and I will always keep it.
You still have a lot of years ahead of you.
Throughout those years I will always
love you,
care for you,
teach you everthing that I know,
and be there for you.
You ment everything to me
when you were in the womb,
and you will always mean everything to me.
