Victor the Viceroy came to knock on my door.
A red carpet was rolled out for him on the floor.
The crown he was wearing was fit for a king.
A proposal for me was what he did bring.
“Your time machine has caused quite a stir.
If you don’t mind I’d like a ride in it sir!”
I replied “it is costly and profits aren’t made,”
Just cover expenses, we can leave here today!”
Just where we arrived, I was not quite sure.
We dropped by a cave with a stone so secure.
But the stone by itself was moved to the side,
And a brilliant white light made us cover our eyes.
A lone man stood there as an angel appeared,
The two of them talking but no words did we hear.
Then they approached the Viceroy and myself!
We had been caught, and I was scared for my health.
“ Be not afraid,” these words came from this man.
“I’ve been in all your adventures and that’s been my plan”.
“I’ve taken you places so the truth could be shown
To this generation, now make these stories well known.”
We saw the scars in His hands and the love in His eyes,
While tears flooded our faces we felt so ashamed.
We started to fall down to worship on knees,
But His arms wrapped around us as He softly said “Please!”
“Please tell the whole world just how you were there,
To witness the tomb when it became bare!”
“This is the horror for Satan and the time soon will be,
That the whole world will celebrate this new VICTORY!”
The Viceroy and I were suddenly back at my place,
I looked and I saw the puzzle stuck to his face.
So I inquired softly “why sir, such a long frown?”
He answered with tears still flowing
“I should have left him my crown!”
