why cant i say what i feel deep down
it is because i am scared that it would make you frown
although you encourage me to talk
my fear is that you will turn away and walk
in the past i was told to say what i felt inside
trying not to retreat and run to hide
i gave in and let my wall come down
only to leave the people wearing a frown
they said they loved me too
until i revealed my pain
their feelings became too true
leaving me behind feeling sad and blue
sometimes i feel like i should not say whats in my heart
for i am afraid it would cause us to part
i know you say that would never be
but others also have said that to me
so if it is truly love for me that you feel
and you will stand by me no matter what
i will reveal to you what i have buried deep
for with you these are secrets i no longer want to keep
if you still love me after what i reveal
and you dont leave my side
i know it is your heart i did steal
to keep forever and always
for all the rest of our days
I Love You...and to my heart you are true

The heart is a delicate, precious jewel, likely to be broken if not caressed gently. Your theme is quite similar to many of us fellow poet, if not exactly the same as my life's. A beautiful poem you have here,
