There's no better time to change than now,
So I've decided that's what I'll do.
I'll pack my bags, and swallow my pride,
and I'll start to follow you.
After all, you've told me it's simple,
you never ask for a lot,
I don't necessisarly have to be the smartest,
all that matters is the thought.
I've said it yesterday,
and I've said it today,
But the difference from then to now,
is the words that I pray.
I wrote you a letter,
and I spilled out my soul,
Because I want you to save it,
and to make it whole.
I want you to trust me,
and I want to trust you,
That's the easy part,
but for now that's all I can do.
Just trust that you'll help me,
and forgive me until now,
and have faith that I'll recreate myself in you somehow.
I'll pray everyday,
and sing all of your songs,
and I'll pretend you're my husband,
and talk to you all night long.
I'll learn to love you,
and I'll learn to change,
that's all I want,
is to clear this dirty name.
