Heavenly Peace

Frosty snowflakes, crystal pure,
float through the air to softly stir
the grass; once green, now dulled and dry
from frost’s firm hold. Fall’s lullaby
rocks the sky and land below --
blows us kisses that turn to snow.
Angels’ lace, confetti gifts
cling together and turn to drifts.
The night is blessed and glowing bright.
Oh, the wonder of this silent night!
