Kind of flowers

Topic: Lifepoems

"What kind of flowers is used for laying wreath?
I decided not to think of unforeseen events like death
I saw her standing near the dead body
She was there all alone looking at her daddy

I was drawn by her appearance and simplicity
She tried to maintain calm composure to best of her ability
She was under long spell of shock and remained motionless
The worry lines could be easily noticed and could be seen on the face

She took immediate decision and performed last rites
I thought of her for a second and waited till night
“She must be provided cover for her readiness to fight”
I tried to console her and promised it outright

To my utter dismay, she remained firm on her choice
No impact was made for out commitment and promises
She was confident of pulling it alone
Even though her father was no more and gone

I offered her my best in case it was needed
She was not in mood for the request to be conceded
We all thought of it as improper course to pursue
She was allowed to decide of her on and have the views

She was not made of inferior stuff
She knew where to stand firm and where to give strong rebuff
I was expecting good response from her with broad smile
But later on she fired me with her formidable style

"What do you think you can impress up on me in this way"?
She came out with strong words of resentment and went away
Leaving behind a note of displeasure "behave your self"
I felt it as an insult but uttered nothing over the help

I failed to judge her mood and way of working
It gave me enough of insight with strong jerking
It became now known that she will not decide it at once
Take some more time to think before entering such an alliance

You can have good chemistry if pursued upon with honesty
As how delicious food can be preferred by many if made testy
Life too can be looked upon as one time exception
Little mistake here and there can invite hostile reception

I learnt a lesson and decided not to make any time rude reply
It was going to spoil golden chance with insincere try
I was in hurry and so it was thought by her as unreasonable
Even though she had opined it as reality and can be possible

Person can't be judged from outer appearance
Some of the gestures can’t be predicted in one time presence
You got to take many aspects into consideration
Before building up of life time relation

I tried all my best in that direction
Even though initially it had lacked good intention
She was right in her way by offering the least possible reaction
It would have been better if I had entered into more interaction

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
