Hybrid

Topic: abstract

Lost in the backwash of a backalley teardrop
with the back lash as the backdrop , and a
fastball with no backstop, standing
half naked, here in this jaded rain
Scattered in this tragic atmosphere, in havoc
a tragedy of logic lost within the static of
this electric love magic that quickly disappears
Leaving only the fabric of the habit and the abject pain
Stranded and abandoned in backhanded circumstances
banished and branded and handed last chances
I'm frozen, time advances, leaving me stagnant and
alone and confused
In flight, I set alight through the blue diamond sky at night
In a free fall through this last call, and a fire to ignite
with a spark to make, and a mark to make
a dare to take, a mirror to beak, a chance to
finally make your stain, and a chance to take your pain
Gone beyond gone, as time moves onand frozen here I remain
It takes me and it shakes me and nearly breaks my brain again
and again and again and again and again
I'm this grid, with my two blue eyes to lid, I'm frozen in between
as an emotional hybrid of two opposing totalities, where
The intrinsic dualities are equally accentuated by both fantasy
and reality, left undifferentiated, and I'm left unaided
Left as the hybrid of time and a crime once perpetrated

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
