Deep Dark Secrets

Contributed by potentialpoet96 on Monday, 16th January 2012 @ 06:05:47 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

when i knew you
all i did was write.
all day long,
holding back words was a fight.

when you were gone,
so was my inspiration.
you are all that i want
and i can't have you.

your deep dark secrets
are keeping us apart.
i need you in my life,
you say it's impossible.

it's been months,
and you've turned around.
you've come back
but you're still spaced out.

your body is here,
but your mind is elsewhere.
your smile is still bright,
but your thoughts are so dark.

i'm worried for you,
and i'm worried for us.
i can't lose you again,
not like this.

A poem of anguish. If he is of a musical bent have him listen to a song by Lucinda Williams Sweet Old World, put out by many artists. If there is ever any words that might raise the mind from drepession it''s there. I know, I was there once and made it through,

you can gain the love very easily
In the gardens among blossoming flowers
Place him in hearts as angel boon giver
Lay him on your laps as sweet honey
Tell him you are only for me only for me

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
