Rain will fall for summer's gone
Moisture now to settle dust.
Drops descend upon the lawn.
Rain will fall for summer's gone.
Moisture rises with dewey mist.
puddles break through hardened crust.
Rain will fall for summer's gone
Moisture now to settle dust.

a hypnotic cadence, nicely worded nature poetry. Much enjoyed, and thanks for being brave and escaping the AABB rhyme scheme!
