All I want is a normal life
But that the Wise Man doesn't allow
Yet He gave an unusual one
With some extras tag along
I was led to thrive,
Live the different path far from normal
To be seen unlike others
But still you look at me with gloomy eyes.
‘Wear this,’ you said,
‘Cover all the unlikenesses you have.’
‘But why?’ I asked.
‘Don’t ask just do as we said!’
For years I followed
And all the time I questioned.
But answer is never what I got
As if it’s my soul you try to shut.
‘We know what’s best,’ you said.
‘Do you?’ I thought.
Too bad, speaking is not what I’m good at.
I say no word, but my mind screams out loud.
‘This isn’t it,’ one voice said to me.
‘You mustn’t stay this way.’
‘But what to do?’ I asked.
‘It’s for you to decide,’ the Wise Man said.
Those screams deafened me
I stop listening to what you say.
The decision was made,
Action is ready to take.
When the time has come, I bid you goodbye.
Those sad eyes again with words I cannot hear.
‘Sorry,’ I wish to say, but none was spoken.
‘I leave for good,’ I marked in signs.
I run and jump and fly with unseen wings,
Carrying all my unlikenesses no longer hidden.
Those are the treasures given to me,
With which my life is made extraordinarily.
