The mind outside reality seeks
It screams aloud inside it's silence
And plays the songs it longs to hear
The mind within it fades and blends
What shows the scars reveals the truth
And what's become of this
This life inside
Dialogue for the sanity of self preservation
Collected thoughts in cauldrons
Rain down with the nights skies
The amber waves of heroic lies
And thusly do we seek revenge
A distant memory of trials of pain
The rising tides begin their purging
A fire inside us yearns for this
As we fuel what burns with pains of youth
Upon their backs we build our kingdom
Demigods we are and we rule with iron fist
Deception to brave the tortured world
Seeking peace and to simply hide
The rights of man and beast
Do we separate ourselves so eloquently?
Are we not but beast elevated?
Then primal urges feed our thoughts
Tamed through hands around our throat
And trained to buy into all the lies
Deceit a path the powerful pave
They pave it with our blood and minds given over
The wealth of few buys many souls
And shapes a future none would want
The lessons here are to revert
To rise within and wake the beast
The feral nature of ourselves
Defeats the strongest minds prison
Shelter this the aging brow
The infants cry is to be preserved
And as we walk this path alone
To leave behind our mark to show
Those who come after
Once we've gone
Shall see that we made good the stones
The dirt and grass beneath our feet
The treasured air in breath defeats
The anchor of oppressors crowns
No, nothing left will weigh us down
Break free your mind and extend your reach
...For what is learned is ours to keep
