Weaving Her Web of Deceit and Evil

the dark angel sits upon the ledge above the city
she watches the decadence below...people hiding in fear
a smile crept upon her lips...her eyes beginning to glow
this was her world now...weaving her web of deceit and evil

the city becomes alive at night with the raucous parties
twisted minds roamed streets...decent people ran for cover
it was not a safe place to be...she reveled in the fear
this was her world now...weaving her web of deceit and evil

many minds had been open to her inquiring nudges
they had been the cesspools of humanity as she pried
molding them to her whims...creating the festering pit
this was her world now...weaving her web of deceit and evil

the evil grew each day as the good was losing its battle to survive
soon they would be gone...then the city would be hers
she would then earn her right to be queen of the dark
this was her world now...weaving her web of deceit and evil

the sun began to edge up the horizon...another day approached
her work was complete for now...but she would return again
taking flight from the sun...she headed for the underworld
this was her world now...weaving her web of deceit and evil
