Diving into the Sun

A thought that floats upon the sea,
was washed upon the shore,
and when it finally came to rest,
this fragile thought... it tore,

but then a light and gentle breeze,
did bring it to the sky,
on broken wings this thought did soar,
and made the angels cry,

This thought... it dove into the sun...
and shook life at its core,
and never did it stop to mourn,
the heavens that it tore,

for with this thought comes bitter hope,
found hidden in love's tears,
this thought that never seems to die,
this thought that some call fear,

a fear inside true love's embrace,
that true love has an end,
this thought that floats within our minds...
no beginning... and no end.
