Mountain of Pain

Spit upon the grave of life,
and throw me to the floor,
a rose crushed under heel,
and strike me at the core,
Watch the color fade away,
and i will watch death come,
For i will kill him with a smile,
and chuckle while you run,
for love could never break these chains,
these ghosts that haunt my past,
this freedom brings me naught but pain,
in this place where I am cast...
Haunt me no more... take this curse...
hide it deep within these scars ...
never bring it out again,
and watch me from afar...
bury pain within my soul,
and throw away the key,
watch me burn... but do not weep,
for pain has set me free,
but never let me see the truth,
the truth that i do seek,
a mount of love...buried deep...
beneath these hollow shrieks,
I look inside myself for love,
and find that there is none,
for there is only one alive...
to change what you have done.

Well written; the composition flows easily and stays consistently true to itself |

Nicely written. Smile at death, I love it. |
