i know it's late
i see the Moon cry
screaming, "it's
the Fairweather Beasts'
bedtime!"
what Ravenous Queen
has Her son tonite?
the stroke of midnite
with brown eyes calling
there's still so much
left to hate
and many hearts
left to burn
but there are no dungeons
as beautiful as blood
with a cynical smile
or tight fist
it's later now
twenty-six past one
he tells them this time
the girl's gone insane
gone against the grain
into the rain
and there's no humble
stroke left
here for two A.M.
a killer's curse
a lover's kiss
but no such Moon
to tell my why
