You know all that happened
I was mislead
She ripped out my heart
And left me for dead
You can't even fathom
The pain that I felt
Around me they came
Drawn by blood that they smelt.
I never could have expected
To fall so soon
She was my sun
But you are my moon
Always in orbit
Waiting in the wings
And I never thought
I could fell all these things
Not after she pulled the plug
On my heart
Everything was dull
I was falling apart
But then you were there
Shedding light on my skies
Fixing me up
Bringing colour to my eyes.
An ignorant mind
The heart seems to have
It continues to love
After facing such wrath
But to question intuition
Is a good way to stall
No, I'll follow my instincts
And let myself fall
'Cause if there's anything I've learned
It must be this:
The mind knows reason
But the heart knows bliss.
