Black dove

Contributed by Aleali on Sunday, 8th January 2012 @ 12:19:06 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

When we first met I thought I found my one beautiful dove
But instead I was just blinded by love.

The memories that we shared together
I truley thought we would last forever..

But again I was just blinded by love, not knowing what was yet to come

Memories destroyed me from within,
Remembering myself giving in

When we first met, she was so beautiful and nice,
But truley she was colder than ice.

She told me in notes how much she cared,
But the damage was already done, and couldn't be repaired.

Every night I would pray to god to make everything fine,
But his answer to me was to just resign.

I gave her my heart, soul, and passion,
But I guess that was way to old fashion..

She broke my heart and left me in pain
She crushed my soul, let in rot in the rain

My passionate love that I gave to you,
She rejected it, like if it were the flu

She had everything but a heart
And I thought I was being really smart

By giving this girl all my soul and love
Something that she was so undeserving of

I wish we'd shared more memories together,
I truley thought we would be together forever..

But she tainted our future love,
The Person I thought was my beautiful dove.

It hurts to have to say goodbye..
No more seeing eachother..saying hi

No more walks threw the Park or sharing laughter,
Now it's just one huge disaster.

Her love for me has faded..
Our beautiful memories, she has suffocated..

At one time I wanted her to stay..
But truthfully... All that would do is leave me in dismay..

It's a hard road, the feelings expressed in this poem,
but it's a time that most have suffered, I know I have.
All the platitudes cannot rebuild the lovely castle walls that guarded the love. I guess we poets have to become masons for we are constantly rebuiling them.

I know the feeling, but don't the pain will soon go away. I like the emotion in here.
