Misguided Emotions

When anger rains on judgment,
logic loses grip on a slippery slope.
Emotion is an ailment,
The red cape flies in front of an ability to cope.
Uttered words not soon forgotten,
Engraved in incomprehensible ramblings,
Made true with tone, heart is sodden.
All that remains is a bandage for the trampling
Then clouds disperse and a calm breeze blows
The red cape gives in to gravity
And then flood the memories of what was composed,
Shame and bewildered follow depravity.

I think we've all been angry like this. A strong, well thought out write. Could use a spell check, but other than that, great write and definite food for thought. I really enjoyed the read. thanks for sharing (tfs) |
