Finding My Purpose

Up on a mound of doubt I sat
Rain fell and puddles of sorrow collected in the flat
Painful tears rolled down my face
I was ready to leave, what a waste
I looked to the East, for something caught my sight
Took a step forward, and started my hike
Through the forest of redemption I made my descent
A transition to hope, my mind underwent
At the edge of the forest there laid my vision
A sign from above, to just keep living
I crossed a calm stream of excited smiles
There will be more hills to climb, some may be miles
But for now I no longer feel that of worthless
I just lay in the sun in the meadow of purpose.
