Nothing is more maddening than the ticking clock,
the time conspiracy, the time relevancy
and in eyes which have sought better,
have seen better, and have been of deeper blue
shades of time create no music of the ticking clock.
And why damn the what are?
Questions outwit every answer.
We are of two parts - given to one, taken of another
and yet there is infinity beyond the eye
empathy beyond the tears and enlightenment
that lights only our egos and never our way
portions of ourselves are debated in present legacy.
And why dare we trump change?
Pockets of weight are less acute.
Damn the clock, the parts, the answers, our legacy!
Spare some change for infinity.

There is nothing more satisfying than an,'Onion Poem,'as you peel back each layer and explore the hidden depths of thought, playing with the present the past and the future whilst exploring identity, importance and then throwing it all to the wind.... Spare some change...Beautiful soul searching lines that make my soul want to plunge like the blue of the eyes deeper, challenging powerful words..... that lights only our egos and never our way.......A skilful writer playing with the soul of the reader leaving a satisfying pondering and the warmth of humanity flowing through. |
