The dawn breaks, and finds my bed cold and empty,
My thoughts turn to you, of which I have plenty.
The distance between us, seems even further now,
For your job, our love has taken a backstage bow.
We talk most days, and e-mail all the time,
But to be unable to hold you is for me, a crime.
I’m lost without you with me, caught in a daze,
I feel like the white rat, struggling with his maze.
You say we’ll be together, as soon as can be,
Whenever that is, it won’t be soon enough for me.
I want you here with me, to hold you in my arms,
To be apart much longer, would do us great harm.
I make this plea to you now, and beg you to see,
Is your job really worth more, than you and me?
I await your decision, and pray the gods to allow,
You to see that love is more important, and to be here now.

It's sad but sometimes you gotta do whatever you need to do.
