Fear, excitement, unknown events

Streets blocked, patrols out, enemy sought

Shots ring out, cover is taken, eye’s scan

Shots returned, fire fight starts, heads down

Crowds gather, insults traded, weapons raised

Rubber bullets , bodies, screams and cries

Snatch squads run, grab, retreat, bricks land

Molotov’s explode, concrete ablaze, shots fired

Adrenalin rush, sheer anger, some stand firm

Bricks thrown, objects dodged, name calling

Whistles blown, streets empty, noise gone

Soldiers alone, brick strewn streets, all over
