Dance of Night and Day

Contributed by malinsinbigler on Sunday, 1st January 2012 @ 07:33:21 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Twice we are graced by the ballad of Night and Day
In the morning, dawn’s first light swirls with the deepest shadows

The Day is elated by this dance and brightens the world under its happiness, but it soon misses its dearest Night
Drooping, and sagging to the other horizon, the Day yearns to dance with the Night once again

At twilight they join at last. Spinning. Whirling. Emitting the deepest hues of pink and red
The Day gives one last kiss to Night before disappearing, promising to return soon

The world’s most beautiful ballet has continued without fail
Night and Day are always seeking each other, desperately, trying to get in one more dance
Spending only fleeting moments with each other before being a world apart, knowing that they will soon meet again
