Living With The Beast

LIVING WITH THE BEAST

She first met the Beast as a seven year old.
Into her room he crept to give his goodnight kiss.
He came in as Daddy. Her trust he would desecrate.
The nightmare had begun. She missed being six.

The Beast would visit often. Afterwards singing his "sorry song".
The "Don`t cry Honey" song. The "Give Daddy a big smile song".
She grew up feeling so alone.
She grew up being Daddy`s girl.

No one questioned what was wrong.
She loved her Dad.
She hated her Dad.
They looked the other way and left her to her fate.

Boyfriend followed boyfriend.
Grope followed grope.
"Come on Baby.....If you really loved me....."
She learned from the best.

She ran away with her knight.
He treated her like a lady.
He was great in public. He didn`t swear when he called her names.
He only hit her softly. He was a gentleman.

How to tell the Beasts from the rest?
Beasts hate hearing "No!"
Beasts tell YOU how YOU feel.
Beasts want.

And they`ll never do it again..........

Yeah, I agree. It`s not light reading.

I`ve always been heavily influenced by what I`ve read on the net. I`m like a sponge, just absorbing all that pain I see out there. Animals and kids are two causes that always touch me the most.
Most of these guys that prey on young girls (and guys) were molested themselves. They should remember what it felt like.
I`d really like to write about what I think should happen to them but it would just be censored. Gary

I'm sorry I'm late commenting on this Gary. I've just seen you online and checked if you had submitted anything and what do I find?
This is such a powerful piece conveying the horror of this kind of abuse so effectively. You do this sort of thing very well and poetry like this should be read.
Love Chrissie x

Hmmm. This seems like it's talking about 2 different things here, am I right? Well, this was a great write! Sounds very sincere, too.
