Another New Years Day
a familiar chance to be your best,
to put your morals to the test.

What will this New Year bring for you?
9-5 just getting through?
Being the best at being you?

Don't wake each morning with a false smile
or live another day in denial
or pretend all is well all the while.

If you convince yourself it's not true,
you won't have to decide what to do?
Just keep pretending your dreams will come true?

Don't just carry on regardless
burying your head in the sand,
surrendering in the darkness!

This year be awake
Ignorance is not bliss
It's a terrible mistake

This years a chance to start a new,
be alive, be powerful, make a difference too
This is THE moment for you.

A new day dawn today
with hope and strength you decide
how you'll live each day!
