Mistress of your midnight

Topic: DarkPoetry

Photobucket

It may be the wind whispering in the trees, or it may just be me

Be still in the midst of the eve dear love
you may never really escape.
For when the moon is full
my vision comes to you within your dreams.
You waken, the night stirs, it is me.

Dont fight it, you may never really escape me, I dwell within your soul

We crossed the threshold of daydreams and nightmares
together you and I, we danced fine lines in the sea spray
pledged our hearts forever to the full of the moon.
Eternity wont let go, even if you walked away.
I forever will be, the shadows, the moonglow
the mistress of your midnight.

when you shiver, are you cold? Or is it just me close by?
Sigh once more lover, I am near.......

Wow! A shiver went up my spine. I was going to say a "cold" shiver went up my spine, but after reading your poem, I'm not certain if it was a "cold shiver," or a "hot shiver!" Whichever...it was definitely a "shiver!"

I'm still getting goosebumps! Anyway...you did a great job taking an experience that is common to all of us, adding a little mystery, a little infatuation, a pinch of blind hope, a mountain of raw desire and made what was once "common," spine tinglingly memorable!

I think you know you pulled out all the stops and did a great job, but I'm going to tell you anyway:

You pulled out all the stops and did a Great Job!

Amazing, dark, romantic....POWERFUL! It is refreshing to read your work again as it has been a while since I've spent time on YPDC. I am glad to see another familiar name who I can always count on reading and appreciating what is placed before my eyes.

BRAVO!

I love , love , love dark poetry. Not so much the suicidal type stuff but more of the sensual dark. Hope to see more like this. I can't say much that's not already been said in the other comments but I will say I enjoy the way you write very much. Please keep writing things like this. truly , Doug

The chills come and go, as my skin does grow cold. In my thoughts in my dreams nothing is what it ever seems. Only reality I have ever seen, was you and I dancing upon a crimson sea.

Beautiful write my friend :)
