Gargoyle Reality
I thought it had all been a dream
But there it was that familiar sound
Of granite upon granite as it moved
Slowly ever forward into the room
The unmistakeable herald of doom
Followed by the acrid smell proved
To me that it had at last found
Its nemesis and it let vent a scream...
...such that it almost pierced my ears
And I was forced to cower - - shaking
It was time to finally make a stand
How could one defeat a denizen of Hell?
Was I truly to vex this hideous foe?
Could I send it to whence it came?
