Nothingness Spoof

Contributed by norm on Sunday, 4th May 2003 @ 01:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Up and over, under and out.
That's what I heard the beggermen shout.
No sense in asking what upstairs means
when it all adds up to a bag of beans.

If you're looking for sense
From junk worth a pense
no repeating something sans meaning
But nil and null and downward careening.

Realize, you please, the absolute truth?
You're better off eating a Baby Ruth.
At least you'll enjoy the chocolate and nuts
Nothing is nothing..no ifs ands and buts.

I could go on, if you have the strength.
drag this poem to an infinite length.
but I won't abuse our tenuous bond
by using your patience above and beyond.

Fair comment and clever
as cunning as ever
yet boring not never
I'm wondering whether........

Should I try a spoof
if only to proof
I can write goof
yea verily foresoof
