Burning through tragedy we survive,
Eating our daily bread as myths surround us,
Clutching at straws we try to find love.
An unfortunate series of events depress you,
But you hold my hand and we march on,
Sunrise and Sunset we cannot see Hell.
Fallen idols help us to fight for monasteries,
The big stories enlighten the path to chains,
A drug that lets us imagine our beautiful reality.
The bones chill as we step forth into reason,
Sudden epiphanies of why we are here,
Death casts a shadow over silky blue skies.
Paralyzed by fear I take you to safety,
Kisses of life turns into a lovers embrace,
Creating another to live through our nightmare.

Outstanding job poet. Your choice of words and figurative language to describe this "us versus the world," romance is impressive to say the least. A tale of triumph through sadness which never takes the importance of the sadness nor that of the triumph for granted.
BRAVO!
