Topic: Lifepoems

BETWEEN THESE WALLS IS MY "SO CALLED LIFE"
A DRAMA FILLED PATH WITH ALL ITS STRUGLE AND STRIFE.
WHO MADE THE DECISION THIS IS HOW IT WOULD BE?
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FREE WORLD AND CHOICES LEFT UP TO ME?
LIMITS AND RULES SET FOR EVERYTHING I DO, SOMETIMES SEEMING EVER SO CRUEL
I WANT TO GO PLACES ITS FINDING THE RIGHT TRACK,
GOING DOWN SEVERAL BUT NEVER COMPLETING A LAP
I WISH I COULD GET WHAT I NEED TO SUCCEED,
IT DOESN'T EVEN HAPPEN WHEN I BEG AND PLEAD
ITS ALL SOMETHING WE NEED TO GET ON OUR OWN,
YET IT SEEMS SO HARD WHEN YOUR ALL ALONE
SOME ARE BLESSED WITH IT AT BIRTH,
ME I FUMBLE JUST TRYING TO SHOW MY WORTH
I MAY NOT BE CONSIDEDRED A GREAT SUCCESS,
BUT THE THINGS THAT I DO HAVE MAKE ME BLESSED
THE THINGS THAT I "BEAR" WITH WILL BE THE THINGS THAT I "CHARISH"
SO I WILL STOP TRYING TO SEE THE WAY THAT YOU "SEE",
AND JUST THANK THE LORD THAT I GET TO BE ME.
