Glug
I fancy a drink
But what do I choose?
I fancy a drink of quality booze
Some southern hospitality
Some black stuff
A stein of your finest
A shot of the hard stuff
I’ve got lots of sorrow
I’ve got a mountain of pain
Just need to glug on a teat
To put me on happy street
What troubles, what wows?
All disappear as the ale flows
Reappearing next day
With a banging head ache
If I make it that far
Just fell off the bar
Happy new year, now pass me my beer

I can almost hear the voice I imagine you in slurring with each line. A fine example of poetic wit. Well played.
