Cubbie Of Course
I have seen you sleeping
On your blanket dreaming.
Do you dream of catnip mice?
Do you dream of laps,
Or of the treats
From the huge loving hands?
Or do you dream of darker times,
Of your ancient mothers hunt
Through the tall brown grass
In the forests of your past?
Here’s your saucer, here’s your cream;
But still I wonder,
I wonder of what you dream.

Nice poem. Being a cat owner myself, I often wonder what goes on in my cat's mind. Keep on writing and loving your cat. |
