A Box Full of Christmas?

Open a box full of Christmas!
And pull out the trappings.
The tinsel, the borbels, the
Decorations.
Uncoil the lights and delve
Deep.
What’s in the box?
What can’t you find?
Or feel or see.
Look deeper!
Are you looking for presents
Or prescence?
For the gift or the giver?
Do you need the now
Or the past?
Does artificiality just shout!
Are you looking for what’s
Real?
What really matters?
Perfection?
The way the silly season says it should
Be.
Or is it your Christmas?
With all that matters to you!
Now close the box
Put away the trappings
And leave Christmas open
To you!

I don't understand why this poem doesn't have more comments but whatever, their loss as I think it is excellent. Much substance to it and thank you thank you thank you for not writing about politics. No foffense to anyone else, but I need a break from that and that's part of the reason I come here.
Awesome writing that never seems to fail!!! I love that you write for quality and and not quantity. |
