Never Show You

Contributed by berg on Saturday, 24th December 2011 @ 08:31:42 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Let the rain poor down another night of sorrow creeping on his heart.
As the meta-emotion begins to give him conflicting fights.
He concentrates and analyzes what brings him his light.
Knowing what he can't have is what seems to be the only thing he holds on to.
He tries to push it down hoping the feeling will not linger,
everything rushes up as soon as he sees her.
Having it so close to him and secretly it's not enough
being in love, this kind of love, it's something if he shares he's afraid it will all be lost.
Knowing that there is nothing here of lust,
it's the truest love he ever found but seems he's had enough.
Inevitable scars from dancing solo on that thin line
he can't believe he did this to himself but he thinks of it too much of the time.
The feeling should never of existed, because it will never be returned.
at least not as love he has for her.
He's just her best friend

your poem is filled with emotion
someone once commented on a poem i had written
they said it was not a textbook example
poetry is a written account of an emotion or thoought that one has
there is no incorrect way to write it
be proud of what you feel and let no one change what you write if you do it is no longer your feelings but theirs

Joe

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
