Is it worse to witness evident sorrow than escape
Into a utopia where you will find solace
Where you will detach from my hurt and your
Empathetic pain that clouds your judgment
How I shudder in fear of a darker reality to come
You now plan to turn the page for your life's sake
Well so you think your fate depends on this action
I may wallow in unseen tears as you tour the beach
Discovering the hospitality lacking in this setting
Loving is letting go as the saying states
Perhaps I shall put this proverb into practice
Clear your thoughts and your heart let alone life
Of all these encumbrances that attach to the heart
I will remember you; perhaps you'll remember me
And picture my unseen tears observing your own
